Miguel A. Niño

PhD. MSc. Systems Engineer

I obtainded a degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander in Bucaramanga-Colombia 1997, with a laureate thesis. I obtained the title of Master in Computer Science in 2003 from the same University. Gets the Ph.D. in Telematics Engineering from Universidad del Cauca in 2016. He is currently a full-time professor at Universidad del Cauca (School of Electronics and Telecommunications FIET) since 1999. Member of the Research and Development Group in Information Technologies - GTI. Mentor of Seedbed on the Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing – IoTIC. My areas of interest are: Internet of Things, Semantic Web, Information Retrieval and Web Technologies.

About Myself

I am a person from this world who came to evolve and experience the learning of this universe. I am a father, son and citizen of planet earth. I have one of the most important professions of the human race and that is to educate others to serve our society. At this moment in my life, I try to serve and be a better human being in everything I do. I'm teacher and researcher in the areas of the Internet of Things, Semantic Web and Information Retrieval among other Web and Information Technologies.

Skills: Development in IoT platforms (Arduino, Raspberry), .NET Web Development, Internet Technologies, ORACLE databases, SQL Server and AWS Technologies.
