Welcome to Sun ONE Application Server 7: Installation and Administration Web-Based Training Course. This course is designed to be viewed:
  • On a Netscape Navigator 4.7 (or higher) or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher) browser.
  • With JavaScript and Java™ enabled.
  • With the Flash 5 plug-in from Macromedia installed.

To perform the installation you will need Netscape 6.0 or higher.

It is recommended that you have style-sheets enabled in your browser's preferences.

Please check that these conditions are in effect on your machine.
  • To check the browser version—from the browser's menu bar, click Help, slide down to About Communicator, and release. The browser's version number appears in the title bar.
  • To check that JavaScript and Java are enabled—from the browser's menu bar, click Edit, slide down to Preferences, and release. In the Category window click Advanced. Note the Enable JavaScript and Enable Java check boxes and set them accordingly.
  • To check that you have style-sheets enabled in your browser—from the browser's menu bar, click Edit, slide down to Preferences, and release. In the Category window, click Advanced. Note the Enable Style Sheets check box and set it accordingly.
  • To check that you have the Flash plugin—from you browser's menu bar, click Help, slide down to About Plugins. Scroll through the plugin list and look for "Shockwave Flash 5.0."

IMPORTANT

If you are running the Netscape browser on a Solaris machine, you must have the Flash5 plugin to view this WBT or the browser will crash. You can get the Flash5 plugin at the following link:
